Born on November 3,1985,Monali Thakur is a well known INdian Playback Singer and Actress.She won the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for the song "Moh Moh Ke Dhaage" from the film Dum Laga Ke Haisha and the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer for the song "Sawaar Loon" from the film Lootera.
Monali's Family is also involved in Music as her Father is a Bengal Singer and her sister is also Playback Singer.She rose to popularity after placing ninth in Indian Idol 2.She then sang Song in movie Race.Her voice in song "Zara Zara Touch me" became very popular. She also got nominated for an IIFA Award for Best Female Playback and an Apsara Award for Best Female Playback Singer for the song "Zara Zara Touch Me".
In the year 2014, She won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer for the song "Sawaar Loon" from the film Lootera. In March 2016, she received the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for the song "Moh Moh Ke Dhaage" from the film Dum Laga Ke Haisha
Also In 2014, she made her Bollywood debut in Nagesh Kukunoor's Lakshmi movie.
